By allowing the legislatures to decide on the mthod of choosing Presidential Electors led them to give the power of the people to be transferred to political Parties.

Instead of relying on the wisdom on virtous non partisan men of integrity they allowed puppets of the political parties to elect our Presidents.

On five different occasion the popular choice of the people has been trumped by the will of a political party.

The flaw in the Electoral College system is that the Presidential Electors of today are appointed by political parties to represent their state rather than their individual district. 

Our Presidential Elections have become glorified popularity contests won by men of questionable integrity are chosen by ignorant uninformed voters that are forced to pick the lesser of two evils..
